I took Tesco this year as my insurance company from last year stopped it and really got a bargain. £7.00 per month they were doing a offer at the time you could have got it for £5.odds but we took the dearer one as if you decided to take it out next year and the dog takes something this year ongoing you will still be able to cover her.

My pet insurance is with Halifax. I have £6000 per year cover, and this is for life, for about £8 per month. As I have said before I am so glad of the insurance and I have never had any problems with any claims. Even last year after I had claimed £900 after paying only 6 months and then had claims every month after that my premium only went up by about £11 per year.

When taking out insurance make sure it is a lifetime policy and not just a 12 month one as if your dog gets a condition which is going to last 12 months they will only pay for the first year and then not pay after renewal whereas a lifetime policy covers the lifetime of the dog.

Just remember the bigger the dog and depending on the breed it will cost you more. I am with M&S and have the advance policy for all my dogs. Libby and Star are £8 each but Jake is £14. Its an amazing policy and they would even pay for a behaviourist if I needed one. Hm wonder if Jenna is covered for a behaviourst Only kidding
