Just heard about this... don't know if I will be able to do it, but here is the info in case anyone else is interested....
Doggy Dawdle, Sunday 10th May 2009
Please join hundreds of padding paws and help raise money for the new Small Animal Hospital by taking part in this year's sponsored dog walk. Participants can choose between a 5k or 10k walk along the banks of the River Kelvin within the grounds of Garscube Estate, following a safe and stewarded route. It's a great fun, family day out, so please help support our appeal by taking part in our walk, you don't even need a dog to take part!
The new hospital will be fit for the 21st Century and will offer new services such as a Cancer Centre, to treat the growing number of animals suffering from this terrible disease. There will be a Pain and Rehabilitation Centre to help animals recover from injury and improve the quality of life of those pets suffering from chronic pain. Work on site is well underway and the new hospital is due to open in Autumn of this year, with almost £8 million of the £10 million necessary to build the hospital raised so far. So please help us reach our target by taking part in this year's event.
